A former Chili's on University Plaza Drive off Alico Road, reopened in January as Southwest Florida's first Chuck Lager, with a menu built by chef Fabio Viviani and more than twenty taps behind the bar. Starters lean rich: candied pork belly with crispy shallots, beef-and-ricotta meatballs in pomodoro, sushi-grade ahi with wakame and mango pico, crispy grouper cheeks, skillet queso fundido. Then flatbreads, a shaved-ribeye Philly with beer cheese, cajun chicken and shrimp fettuccine, beer-battered haddock, and a chargrilled ribeye with chimichurri butter and truffle parm fries. Salads run to a tajin-dusted wedge. Bomboloni close it. Closed Mondays, late weekends.
