CHURRO MANIA – Restaurant

Order a churro here and it is fried, sugared and handed over in minutes, from a counter tucked inside the Walmart on Southwest 288th Street in Homestead. The range runs from CrispyMania, plain sugar or cinnamon churros by the eight, fourteen, twenty or thirty, to TwistMania glazed with dulce de leche, chocolate or guava, and BigMania, one long churro filled to the end. Savoury exists too: cheese tequeños in mini or jumbo, empanadas, the sausage-stuffed ChurroDog. Ice cream arrives sandwiched between two churro spirals. Venezuelan cocoa goes into the hot chocolate. Shoppers stop for one box and leave carrying two.
