COCO CAFE – Restaurant

A Peruvian kitchen on Northwest Seventh Street that keeps going long after the rest of the block has gone quiet. Ceviche de pescado arrives bright with lime, leche de tigre is poured on its own, and jalea heaps deep-fried fish and seafood onto one plate. Lomo saltado and churrasco under chimichurri anchor the meat side; arroz chaufa handles the rice. Chicharron de pescado comes with yuca, and the Picada Coco stacks fried chicken, pork, chorizo, yuca and green plantains for a table. Tostones, maduros and yuca frita fill the gaps. A bar and a hookah lounge operate alongside the kitchen.
