Four decades of Persian cooking on North Station Plaza, and the charcoal still does the talking. Kebab koobideh, barg, joujeh and lamb come off open flames onto white basmati, with orange, green, cherry or barberry rice if you want the upgrade. Start with dolmeh, kubeh, Moroccan cigars, falafel balls and a tahdig topped with the stew of the day. Ghormeh sabzi and fesenjan simmer slowly; the branzino arrives whole. Everything is Glatt kosher under the Vaad Harabonim of Queens. Open late Sunday through Thursday, closing early Friday, reopening Saturday night. A family kitchen that has fed Great Neck since 1985.
