COLUMBIA RESTAURANT CELEBRATION – Restaurant
On Front Street in Celebration, the Columbia looks out over the town lake and spreads across old-world dining rooms, a courtyard, an outdoor cafe and a tapas bar. It is the Orlando-area branch of a Spanish-Cuban house founded in Tampa in 1905 and still run by the same family. The signatures travel intact: the 1905 salad tossed at the table, Spanish bean soup thick with garbanzos and chorizo, the original Cuban sandwich on Cuban bread, paella a la Valenciana, boliche criollo and flan from a 1935 recipe. Wine leans deep into Spain. A lakeside table and food worth the century.
