COWY BURGER/THE WHITE ELEPHANT – Restaurant
Two friends from a Caracas high school spent two years running burger pop-ups around Miami before opening a permanent counter in Wynwood, sharing 223 NW 23rd Street with the candlelit White Elephant cocktail bar. The format is smashburger, patties pressed thin and hard on the flattop: the plain Cowy, the Cowy Doble, Pickle Rick, Grand Slam, La Goldy, the Melty and a truffle-laced Truffin. Chicken katsu, onion rings and truffle fries fill the sides. Judges at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival gave it the Very Best Burger award at BurgerBash in 2024. Late nights, strong drinks next door.
