CROSSROADS SALOON – Restaurant
A US-17 roadhouse north of downtown Palatka with a railroad streak running through the menu. The Boxcar Dip stacks shaved roast beef with grilled mushrooms, onions and Swiss on a hoagie; the Train Wreck buries homemade tortilla chips under taco meat, cheddar, jalapeno and sour cream. Flame-broiled quarter- and half-pound burgers arrive with chips and a pickle spear, and the Black Russian lands on grilled rye. Baskets of shrimp, cod or chicken strips come with fries and slaw. Munchies run corn nuggets, fried green beans, pocket peppers and gizzards. A full bar, long hours, and a soup of the day.
