Downtown Orlando's weekday rhythm runs through this family-run counter on West Central Boulevard, open from half seven and done by half three. Breakfast is the anchor: the Island Breakfast, Cuban and Tropical omelets, steak and eggs, the El Cubiche platter, all of it chased with a cortadito, a colada or a large cafe con leche. Lunch turns to pressed sandwiches, the Authentic Cuban, tripleta, roasted pork, croqueta and choripan, plus Cuban bowls of picadillo, roast pork or grilled chicken. Tostones, maduros, papa rellena and empanadas fill the sides. Salads use the same proteins. Delivery runs a wide radius from downtown.
