DECK CAFE – Restaurant

The Upper Deck Cafe on Darlene Street is Weeki Wachee's neighbourhood restaurant and bar, open from eleven every day and later on Friday and Saturday nights. The kitchen is rather more ambitious than the room suggests. Gulf seafood leads: conch fritters made to a Bohemian recipe, lump crab cakes seared Maryland style, blackened sea scallops over a crisp cabbage blend, steamed clams in white wine and garlic, gator tail, and a baked shrimp and lobster dip. Entrees arrive after three, smothered grouper under garlic lobster shrimp sauce among them. Otherwise burgers, philly cheesesteaks, fish tacos and fried baskets to finish.
