Haitian cooking on Palm Avenue in Hialeah, with a menu written in three languages and a different special for each day of the week. Diri djon djon, the black-mushroom rice, sits beside legim, sos pwa, stewed oxtail, country chicken stew, okra with codfish, and spinach with smoked herring. Mayi moulen, bulgur with beans, millet with congo peas and ground-provision platters carry the plates. Pate come chicken, cod or herring, baked or fried, next to cassava bread and Haitian peanut butter. Soup joumou in two sizes. Fresh juices, smoothies, quinoa bowls, salads. Tables can be booked over the phone in advance.
