A Spanish wine bar and restaurant on Southwest 27th Avenue, opened by owners who roamed Spain's countryside and cities and came home wanting fresh ingredients, simple plates and bold flavours. Hot tapas run to gambas al ajillo, pulpo a la gallega, huevos rotos under serrano ham and truffle oil, croquetas de jamon Iberico and callos a la madrilena. Paellas serve two minimum, including a squid-ink negra and the house paella Descorche with pancetta, chorizo and black pudding. Carnes bring chuleton de buey for two and whole roast suckling pig. Boards of Iberico and manchego alongside. Closed Mondays; open from noon.
