DJ'S CLAM SHACK – Restaurant

On Gulf Boulevard in Indian Shores, a short walk from the beach, DJ's Clam Shack runs a barefoot-friendly seafood counter with beer and wine and a genuinely northern accent. Maine lobster rolls are packed with knuckle and claw meat; Ipswich fried clams and New England chowder come from the founders' Massachusetts side, while conch fritters and mahi mahi tacos answer for Florida. Garlic steamed clams, shrimp baskets, chicken fingers, fries and coleslaw fill the rest. Dogs are welcome and the room is wheelchair accessible. Open Tuesday through Sunday, from late morning through to the early evening. Portions arrive unapologetically large.
