DOGGIS AREPA BAR – Restaurant
On North Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach, Doggi's Arepa Bar brings the Venezuelan griddle north of the county line. The arepas are very much the point, Pabellon with shredded beef, chicharron y queso, Pelua, Llanera, Sifrina, Catira, and they are made to order. Cachapas fold sweet corn batter over cheese, with fried pork if you want it. Tequenos, empanadas of carne mechada, pollo mechado or queso, and patacones layered between fried plantain fill the rest of the board. Tostones, yuca fries and black beans sit alongside as sides. Casual, family-friendly, and built squarely for sharing across a crowded, noisy table.
