DOLCE & THE REGENT COCKTAIL CLUB – Restaurant

The Gale's ground floor on Collins Avenue holds two rooms that work as one: Dolce Italian, a modern Italian dining room, and the Regent Cocktail Club, a 1920s-styled bar reached through a door set behind the hostess stand. Breakfast runs daily from seven in the morning; dinner every night. The kitchen sends out tagliatelle ai frutti di mare, pappardelle alla bolognese, spaghetti al pomodoro, insalata caprese, hearts of romaine, meatballs over creamy polenta and Neapolitan-style pizza. Dolce Italian won Bravo's Best New Restaurant competition in 2015, and the operator still says so. A rooftop pool terrace handles the casual end.
