DON BURRITO – Restaurant

A neighbourhood Mexican kitchen on Southwest 72nd Street in Kendall, family-run since 2001 and set up equally for a table of six or a delivery order. The range is unusually wide: fajitas built nine ways, including nopalitos with chorizo and a mixed parrillada; mole poblano and mole verde over chicken breast; steak brazada with bacon and melted mozzarella; tacos de birria; camarones al mojo de ajo. Queso fundido and guacamole start most tables. Diners consistently mention food arriving hot, fresh and in quantities that guarantee leftovers. Margaritas, refried beans, and rice on every plate. Nothing precious about any of it.
