Dr. Limon's FIU-area outpost sits in the Florida International Plaza on SW 8th Street, a short walk from campus, inside the same medical-themed universe chef Carlos Brescia built out of Kendall in 2012 — waitstaff in lab coats, a menu written like prescriptions. The kitchen turns out over twenty ceviches, among them Fiebre Amarilla, Diagnóstico Reservado and El Loco Calato, a fried ceviche finished with acevichada cream, plus tiraditos, Nikkei sushi rolls like Che Carlitos and Shrimp Truffle, and mains such as Ají de Gallina and Lomo Saltado. Students and neighborhood regulars alike keep coming back for the generous portions.
