El Gauchito del Sur is an Argentinian food truck working the West Palm Beach area, with first-come, first-served walk-up service at whatever location its Instagram posts that day. Handmade empanadas, baked or fried and hand-folded, come filled with cumin-and-paprika-seasoned beef or tender shredded chicken, following techniques the truck describes as passed down through generations. Milanesa, a breaded cutlet, shows up plain, Napolitana with ham and melted mozzarella, or as Bife al Gauchito with sauteed onions, garlic and mushrooms. Desserts include tres leches cake, a layered Balcarce cake and chocotorta. The truck also caters weddings, festivals and corporate events on request.
