On Lucerne Avenue in Lake Worth Beach, painted walls done up like the colonial streets of Antigua set the mood for a menu that goes deep into Guatemalan cooking rather than skimming it. Kak'ik, hilachas and pepian de pollo or de gallina, the last reserved for Sundays, sit beside chuchitos, tamales and a parrillada chapina grilled platter, with fajitas, chiles rellenos and pupusas covering more familiar ground. Rellenito closes the meal, and nance juice or horchata washes it down. Regulars describe the room as more festive than most Guatemalan spots in South Florida.
