FAÇADE – Restaurant

Façade opened on Giralda Avenue in Coral Gables about a year ago, a bakery and cafe from chef Oscar Lastra and creative director Diana Gonzalez, and mornings run packed. Breakfast and brunch are made fresh in view of the room, with a tuna melt and chicken salad among the standbys and mushroom milanesa drawing praise. Signatures include spicy onion toast with caramelized onions, folded eggs and chili oil on sourdough, a ham and cheese croissant with Parmesan, and a cornflake matcha built on house-made corn milk. A cinnamon roll and tiramisu latte close it out, a second location is planned.
