Fanelli Café – hamburger_restaurant
Fanelli Cafe has occupied 94 Prince Street in SoHo since the address first opened as a grocery store in 1847, passing through owners before Michael Fanelli bought it in 1922 and renamed it, running it as a speakeasy until Prohibition ended in 1933. The bar became a gathering place for artists as SoHo shifted from manufacturing to an arts district, and Bob Dylan spent time there in the 1960s. The kitchen keeps to bar food with Italian specialties mixed in, built around a classic griddled burger. The cafe opens at 11am and serves into the evening, seven days a week.
