Olivier Rizk, a Haitian-Lebanese baker who won Florida's top prizes for croissants and baguettes, built Ficelle into a River Landing fixture before expanding next door into Le Bistro. The bistro shares Ficelle's kitchen and its knack for carbs, but turns savory under chef Gustavo Montes, formerly of Tanuki, with a menu that leans French and Mediterranean. The French onion soup is a standout: caramelized onions cooked sous vide for a full day, laced with veal stock and cognac, crowned in gruyere. High ceilings, white brick and gold accents set a room that feels Parisian by day and jazzy after dark.
