GELATO-GO DELRAY BEACH – Restaurant

On East Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Gelato-Go is a compact Italian gelateria and coffee bar that lets the case do the talking. The base is made fresh each day from ingredients hunted down at source — pistachios from Bronte in Sicily, hazelnuts from Piedmont's Langhe, Valrhona chocolate built on Venezuelan cocoa — and turned into Stracciatella, Amarena, Nocciola and a rotating cast that has lately run to Dubai chocolate. Sorbetti are dairy-free and made from real fruit. Espresso and pastries round it out. Diners mention the hazelnut again and again, and staff who happily keep handing over spoons. Come hungry, leave slower.
