Got Kosher Bakery – Restaurant
On West Pico Boulevard, in the heart of Los Angeles kosher country, Chef Alain Cohen bakes the loaf he is credited with inventing: the pretzel challah, burnished and salt-flecked. The restaurant side closed in 2021, and what remains is pure bakery — a bench of naturally fermented artisan sourdoughs, all vegan, alongside challah in several guises including a chocolate version, and bagels built on a comically generous scale. Hours are short and weekday-tilted, running out on Friday afternoon before Shabbat. Come early. The challah does not wait.
