Assaf Hadad, who grew up in Hadera, runs this kosher Israeli kitchen and coffee shop in Aventura, and the menu wanders happily through Moroccan and Persian influences — mesabacha, salmon shawarma, a Jerusalem panini bagel at midday, branzino with freekeh when dinner wants something more serious. The pastry case earns its own visit, Basque cheesecake included. Diners talk about how bright and unfussy the food is, though service can wobble at the busiest hours. A proper Israeli breakfast, a long way from home.
