Downtown Miami runs on early starts, and Marina's opens at seven on the lobby level of the Holiday Inn Port of Miami, its windows facing Biscayne Boulevard and the cruise terminals beyond. The kitchen works an American continental menu with an Italian accent, breakfast through dinner plus lighter fare in between, while the adjoining Marina Bistro Lounge takes over the cocktail end of the evening. The room is modern and deliberately unfussy, built for families straight off a ship and for meetings that ran long. Convenient rather than showy, and open late enough to matter.
