HURRICANE ALLEY – Restaurant

Downtown Boynton Beach, a few steps from the marina, with a raw bar up front and no pretence anywhere. Start with the house smoked fish dip or peel-and-eat shrimp, work through steamed clams and scallops, or go straight for the All American Alley cheeseburger, which has a following of its own around town. There's a mahi Caesar and a New England roll for lighter days. Closed Mondays; the rest of the week it fills with locals who treat it as an extension of the neighbourhood. Old Florida, still standing on Ocean Avenue.
