Family-owned since 1980 and working with the same chef since 1988 — in Delray Beach that is close to permanence. Il Girasole means sunflower, and the cooking is Italian in the classic register: cannelloni Rossini under besciamella and marinara, veal piccata in lemon and butter, linguine con vongole, chicken francese, penne vodka. The house-made spumoni is the reason people save room. Dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday, with a wine list running domestic and imported and reservations worth making. Nothing about it chases a trend. That is precisely the appeal.
