JAZTRO BY CHEF D.O.C. – Restaurant

Four tables. Eight seats. JazTro is about as intimate as an Orlando dining room gets, and Chef Juan "Danny" Otero — two decades in local kitchens before this — cooks to order off a from-scratch line. The food is Puerto Rican at heart with a wider Latin reach: mofongo, canoas, camarones al ajillo, bistec encebollado, carne frita, tostones, arroz chino. Diners talk about the chef appearing at the table almost as much as the plates, which is the natural consequence of a room this size. Takeout is encouraged. A seat is worth the wait.
