JOIA BEACH KITCHEN – Restaurant
The kitchen behind Joia Beach, the open-air restaurant and beach club on the Jungle Island waterfront. The cooking is European with a Mediterranean accent and a seasonal bent: tuna tartare Provencale, fire-grilled octopus over red lentils, whole branzino, lamb chops, then baklava or chocolate ganache cake to close. Tables sit on the sand with Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline in view, day beds behind them and a chickee bar working through the afternoon. Guests come as much for the setting and the cocktails as the plates. Dress code: upscale beach chic.
