Josh's Deli – Restaurant

A small, cheerful room on Harding Avenue where the Jewish deli canon is taken seriously enough to be rebuilt from scratch. Breads and bagels come out of a live sourdough starter each morning; meat and fish are cured on the premises rather than bought in; even the condiments are made in house. Now fully kosher, the kitchen runs Schmulka's steak under a ponzu dip, a straight-ahead deli burger and fries, and a chulent kugel that lands on Thursday nights.
