Junior's (Flatbush) – Restaurant
The corner of Flatbush and DeKalb has been Junior's since 1950, and the room still opens at seven in the morning and runs late. It works as a full New York deli-diner first: pickles, coleslaw and pickled beets land on the table before anything else does. Then there is the cheesecake, which is what carried the name out of Brooklyn — the strawberry-topped version above all. When developers came for the site, the family stayed put. Order dinner properly. Save room regardless.
