KENIA PLAZA – Restaurant

Cafeteria-style Cuban, done the way south Miami-Dade has always liked it: you queue, you point, you eat well for very little. Kenia Plaza has held the same spot off SW 266th Street for decades, opening at seven in the morning and running to closing on fried pork chunks, shredded flank steak, breaded chicken breast, red beans and pan con bistec. Cuban sandwiches are pressed to order, and the natural juices are worth the detour. There is no decor to speak of and none is needed. Regulars come for the plate and the price. Closed Sundays.
