KING EXPRESS – Restaurant

A West Oak Ridge Road fixture: King Express has been feeding this stretch of south Orlando Chinese-American takeout for two decades, with a drive-through window for people who never intended to get out of the car. The order sheet is the classic one - egg foo young, lo mein, fried rice, chicken wings - and regulars have their favourites locked in, with shrimp fried rice and the wings named most often. Portions are generous, the turnaround is quick, and nobody is pretending this is a destination dining room. It is the neighbourhood standby, and it plays that role well.
