LA MINUTA Y MAS – Restaurant
A Cuban sandwich counter out in the Country Walk stretch of southwest Miami-Dade, built around one thing: the minuta, a fried fish fillet pressed hot into Cuban bread. Pan con minuta is what the board leads with and what most people order; pan con lechon, pan con bistec and tamales fill in around it. Hours run daytime only, which fits a place that trades on the lunch rush rather than the dinner one. Nothing here is trying to be more than it is. Fried fish, good bread, no ceremony.
