LA PALETTE ARTISAN ICE POPS – Restaurant

Not quite a popsicle, not quite gelato. La Palette calls its hybrid a palette, and it has been making them in Orlando since 2015. The milk-based bars are built on whole milk and heavy cream rather than powder; the water-based ones start with fresh fruit and keep the chunks in. Seventy-odd flavours rotate through the case - avocado, dulce de leche, pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, chocolate - and the shop on South Orange Blossom Trail keeps late-afternoon and weekend hours, which is exactly when you want one. Simple idea, executed properly.
