BALEEN is the signature restaurant at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort on Gulf Shore Drive, and it is open to the public - no room key required. The dining room faces the Gulf, a few tables sit out on the sand, and the fire pit turns sunset into the main event. Lobster eggs Benedict and croissant waffles anchor breakfast and weekend brunch, lobster Cobb salad and grouper tacos carry lunch, and blackened Gulf grouper leads at dinner. Private beach dining runs four or five courses by advance booking. Naples at its most cinematic.
