LA VILLA DE DON POLLO – Restaurant

A small strip-mall Peruvian on South Dixie Highway where the rotisserie does most of the talking: pollo a la brasa by the quarter or the half, sides and sauce alongside. Past the chicken the kitchen runs the classics properly - lomo saltado with onions, tomatoes, cilantro and fries, tacu tacu con lomo, arroz chaufa, ceviche de pescado, and a jalea mixta piled with fried fish, shrimp, octopus, squid and mussels under marinated onion. Diners mention the flavour and the warmth of the owners in the same breath. Humble room, generous plates. Closed Mondays.
