LAS TAPAS DE ROSA – Restaurant
Walk in off Calle Ocho and it looks like a small Spanish market, shelves of tinned fish and all. Push past that and there are two dining rooms serving proper tapas: patatas bravas, pulpo a la gallega, gambas al ajillo, ham croquettes, jamon serrano, tortilla. The seafood paella arrives loaded and is worth the wait. The rule regulars pass along is simple - anything stewed or in sauce is the move. It is an odd, charming setup for Little Havana, and the cooking is more serious than the strip-mall address suggests.
