LAS VINAS BBQ – Restaurant

Two Cuban friends, Julio and Niorge, opened this Hialeah barbecue house on East 4th Avenue in 2005, and the smoker has not cooled since. Las Vinas BBQ sells Cuban-style barbecue largely by the pound: roasted pork, smoked pork loin, crispy pork belly, ribs, churrasco off the grill, grilled chicken breast, and chicharrones that come out properly crackling. Family recipes, house-ground seasonings, doors open early. They will roast a whole pig for your party too. Diners keep returning for the value and the sheer heft of the plates. Twenty years on, it still smells like a good idea.
