LATITUDE 28 – Restaurant

Breakfast opens at seven; by evening the room turns toward the Gulf and the sunset does half the work. Latitude 28 is the signature restaurant of the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort on S Gulfview Blvd, cooking Mediterranean-leaning coastal food. Florida black grouper with saffron risotto, confit fennel and a citrus beurre blanc is the plate to order, and the bar answers with its Clear Water pina colada. There are indoor tables and a beachfront terrace, and guests consistently say the outdoor seats at sundown are the ones worth booking ahead. Service draws steady praise. Dress it up a little.
