LEON'S AT LAKE ELLA – Restaurant

Leon's occupies a 1920s stone cottage on the shore of Lake Ella, one of the last remnants of the old Tallahassee Motor Motel repurposed into a restaurant. Chef Leon C. Brunson runs an eclectic menu built from soups, sandwiches and salads that pull in international techniques and flavors rather than sticking to one cuisine. Lunch runs through the afternoon most days, with reservation-only dinners in the evening and the space doubling as an event venue after hours. The lakeside setting alone makes it a Tallahassee draw, and a national television feature has only added to the pull. A small menu, handled with real intention.
