Liebman's Deli – Restaurant
On West 235th Street in Riverdale, Liebman's has been the Bronx's last standing kosher deli since 1953, now run by the Dekel family. The pastrami is house-made and the matzo ball soup is the anchor of the menu, alongside classic stuffed Jewish deli fare built for a lunch-counter crowd as much as for takeout trays. It's earned outside recognition — Zagat, the Michelin Guide, and a visit from Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown — without losing the feel of an old-school neighborhood deli. A second location has since opened in Ardsley, NY. Diners keep coming back for the pastrami specifically.
