LOS HERMANOS SALVADORENOS REST – Restaurant

A small Salvadoran room on East 33rd Street in Hialeah, tighter than most and closer in feel to a bar, with music on and the griddle within earshot. Pupusas are the reason to come: pressed to order and filled with cheese, mixta or shrimp. Yuca frita and tamales fill out a short menu that does not pretend to be more than it is. Prices stay low, the welcome stays warm, and the doors are open eleven to nine every day. Order more pupusas than you think you need.
