Los Laureles Del Rio keeps unusual hours for a Mexican kitchen, six in the morning until two the next, which makes it as much a late-night stop on NW 24th Street as a breakfast one. The menu is familiar in the best way: chicken fajitas with grilled peppers and onions, corn or flour tortillas, Mexican rice, refried beans, guacamole and pico alongside. Cheese dip and guacamole to start. Vegetarian plates sit next to the meat ones. Nothing here is trying to reinvent anything, and that is rather the point.
