Palm City's Lynora's, out on SW Mapp Road, is the northern reach of a Palm Beach County family business that started in 1976 with Raffaele and Maria Abbenante selling pizza by the slice in Lake Worth. The cooking still leans on Maria's recipes: focaccia and housemade meatballs, strozzapreti al pollo, linguine alle vongole, chicken parmigiana, and a pizza list that runs from margherita to white pepperoni. Lunch brings heroes and a short-rib cheesesteak. Regulars praise the portions and the unhurried service. A neighbourhood Italian with a real family behind it.
