Mammamia is an Italian gelato house trading on a recipe line it dates to 1911, and the counter runs deep - classic gusti alongside newer ones, four of them decorated at international Taste Awards, including a three-star amarena ripple and a pistachio crunch. The freezer case carries semifreddi in cake, stick, taco and mini-glass form, with birthday cakes to order. Waffles, crepes, pancakes and wafer cones come off the iron hot, and the espresso bar runs hazelnut, caramel and white-chocolate variations. Sit-down or passeggiata - both work.
