Collins Avenue, all day long. Maxine's Bistro & Bar opens at eight in the morning and runs to midnight seven days a week, which makes it a breakfast table and a late one in equal measure. The kitchen plays American with a Latin accent: English breakfast and steak and eggs cubano early, then harvest salad, a short-rib burger, the chef's mahi, jumbo coconut shrimp, pollo a la parmesana and chicken carbonara. An ocean breeze mule is the drink people order twice. Diners keep returning to the service — attentive without hovering — and to the easy lift when the DJ starts. South Beach without the attitude.
