MAYU – Restaurant
Stones carried from Peru's Urubamba River are set into the walls at MAYU, and the name itself is Quechua for river. The Brickell dining room from the Aromas del Peru team works Andean tradition into something polished: ceviche clasico, causa, lomo saltado, aji de gallina, wild challwa salmon, and suspiro limeno to close. The pisco list is among the deepest in the city, poured through a happy hour that runs every afternoon. Diners come for the cooking and stay for the room. Elegant without being stiff.
