MC KITCHEN – Restaurant
A Design District mainstay since 2012, MC Kitchen turns out modern Italian cooking from a bright, gallery-adjacent room on NE 2nd Avenue. The kitchen makes its own pasta and cures its own meats, and it shows in the ricotta cavatelli, the garganelli bolognese and the fiocchi di formaggio e pera. Stone-oven pizzette arrive blistered, the black mission fig version chief among them, alongside roasted octopus, beef carpaccio and a 28-ounce bone-in ribeye. Diners return for the pasta and the truffle fries, and for a dining room that stays composed on a busy night. Aperitivo hour runs daily.
