MICHELE'S CUCINA – Italian
Jeff and Michele opened this small Italian kitchen in the downtown Publix plaza on SW Federal Highway in 2019, and it still runs on the family principle it was built for. The pizza is the draw — a proper burrata pie, bolognese special, and a crust the kitchen seasons its own way — backed by penne alla vodka, eggplant parmesan, buffalo chicken stromboli, garlic knots and fried ravioli. Cream-stuffed zeppole close things out. The inside room is snug; the shaded patio takes the big tables. Regulars say Michele knows their names, and the portions do not disappoint.
